Coventry PEACE Park Construction Update
Thursday, November 7:
Play equipment installation will be complete next week.
Coming Up:
Light pole bases will be installed the week of 11/11.
Electrical work continues.
Additional tree planting begins on 11/18.
The south side of the Washington Blvd. parking lot reopens on 11/8. Expect intermittent construction traffic.
When the beloved Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Playground came to the end of its useful life, we decided to build a new park with features and amenities designed for our community. We asked and you answered in 7 community meetings and 700+ survey responses! With your help, we’re building a NEW Coventry PEACE Park!

Inclusive amenities designed to embrace people of all ages and abilities
Accessible Pathways re-graded for easier navigation, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
Exciting play areas
A 20-foot cardinal play structure, inviting exploration with opportunities to climb up, climb in, look out, and slide down.
Dedicated toddler playground for our youngest visitors.
Adventure awaits with a zipline, climbing wall, swings, half-court basketball, and more!
New gathering spaces
A stage for community events, performances, and gatherings.
A picnic grove and scattered benches to enjoy a meal or for working outdoors utilizing free Wi-Fi.
An eco-friendly oasis in the historic Coventry District
Over 100 new shade trees provide a cool retreat on sunny days.
Introducing native plants and a pollinator garden, fostering biodiversity and ecological balance.
Incorporating rainwater biofiltration to sustainably manage water resources and enhance environmental health.
